VEP – VEP is for electrophysiology of visual pathways specially for the anterior part of visual path.

Indication- optic neuritis, various optic neuropathy, Multiple sclerosis and demyelinating disorders, some neuroinflammatory diseases and neuro-degenerative diseases. Can be used in few ophthalmic conditions also.

Preparation – Same as EEG but with few electrodes placed at the back of head and need to monitor for a few minutes. So vision will be translated as wave form on a recording monitor and give information about anterior visual pathway.
